About The Founder
John Gordy is the Founder of Blue Hen Capital, a commercial finance advisory firm helping real estate developers, investors, and small business owners access smart, tailored capital solutions. With over 12 years of Commercial Finance experience and more than $250 million in closed transactions, John brings deep expertise across agency financing (Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD), CMBS, Construction, Bridge, and SBA lending.
Before launching Blue Hen Capital in 2024, he co-founded All Commercial Capital in 2013 where his team closed ~$200 million in transactions. John began his mortgage career in residential lending, where he originated over $20 million in home loans. Known for his analytical approach and hands-on involvement, John built Blue Hen Capital to deliver fast, reliable, and strategic financing with a personal touch.
John graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. His concentration was Economics and he minored in Sociology.
